Ah, I did, that is who support is that I mentioned in my posting. I got a response back from them on a second question I ask them about the tutorial as to whether it was for v1.x.x or 2.x.x of SeaMonkey and the person I contacted wasn't aware of v2.x.x but do have a second member of their team that is interested in having it work with SM that hasn't got back with me yet. So maybe I can put him in contact with SM support and get somewhere.

Hi Group

There is a plug-in http://wiki.memberplugin.org/ that I would like to
know if someone could hack to use with Seamonkey. This plug-in is for
use with Freecycle.com web site and mailing list and is available for IE
and Firefox but not Seamonkey. I was advised by the plug-in support that
it might be an easy hack by using
http://users.skynet.be/fa258499/hackexttutorial.html but to me that
might as well be in Martian as I know very little about righting or
editing programs or apps. Also they didn't seem too enthused about
rewriting the plug-in to use with Seamonkey themselves.

Why not just ask the author(s)?
