Hi all,
is it possible to make Seamonkey send emails in the background rather
than having the window pop up indicating the status with the server?
This is irritating when sending large emails.
Many thanks!
Let your OS send your email (silently as all get out):
sendEmail - Send email from a console near you!

"sendEmail" is a very good program. I also use "blat", at
<http://www.blat.net/>. -JW
Yes, and it can be run from a batch job.
I also switched from sendEmail to blat because you can put a lot of the
"constants" for blat usage into the Windows registry, like this:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Public Domain\Blat]
"SMTP server"="x"
"SMTP Port"="x"
"Try"="x"
"Login"="x" [encrypted]
"Pwd"="x" [encrypted]
"Sender"="[email protected]"
That makes the command line to call blat a _lot_ simpler, and makes
global changes (if you're calling blat from a bunch of different batch
jobs) very simple. -JW
