I didn't read all comments, but I think that this is a request to add
native PGP functionality to Mozilla/Thunderbird(/Seamonkey). As said the
combination Enigmail (v1.0.1) and OpenPGP just works. As I recall it
wasn't that hard to install. For OpenPGP I use the GNU version gpg4win
v2.0.1

This bug report is about showing weird signature attachments when you
don't use Enigmail. I'm using Enigmail so I don't have this problem.
