It took several exchanges of messages with GigaNews's support staff, but
they finally realize that they have a latency problem.

At first, they did not understand that I post directly to GigaNews and
read directly from GigaNews, both for news.mozilla.org and for their
general news server. Then, they thought I had a connection problem
because my user ID and password are for the outsourced connection
through my ISP and not through an individual account with GigaNews.

All this reminds me of the run-around I get from a Web site when I try
to tell them they are incorrectly sniffing for "Firefox" instead of
"Gecko" and that they really should not sniff at all.
