Same type of eyes, so, I feel your pain.
Unfortunately, it seems that almost every solution has it's own set of
problems.
If you have not already tried it and, assuming that you are running
windwos, increase your display properties font size....
display properties/settings/advanced/font...
It's not ideal since in many places the font is enlarged, but the place
where it's displayed is too small.
Any chance you are using a microsoft intellipoint mouse? If so, I
highly recommend installing the intellipoint sofware and experimenting
with it's magnifier. I have it assigned to one of the extended mouse
buttons and use it a number of times each day... in many cases it's the
only option.
