I have no experience with the portable version of SeaMonkey but my guess

Be sure to copy "userChrome.css-example.css" to "userChrome.css" as
initial version, then add to it, as it contains important @namespace
rule you should not omit.
Well, it didn't work when I tried the location suggested. I tried the
other two as well, and no luck.
Of course, I'm a complete novice when it comes to customizing Seamonkey
or any other app.
Did I do this wrong? I copied and pasted the following into the
userChrome.css file:
@-moz-document url(chrome://messenger/content/addressbook/addressbook.xul) {
description {
-moz-user-select: text;
}
}
I can't really say about the portable version of SeaMonkey, but
reading some info on the portable version of Firefox it should be
really like that:
http://portableapps.com/support/firefox_portable#local_profile
http://portableapps.com/node/4173
See if any of this could help. The "userChrome.css" rules are
otherwise working for me using the normal SeaMonkey version, and
Barry Edwin Gilmour has confirmed they work for him in another reply.
