I believe the problem is with the author's absolute positioning of
nearly all page elements, which, at your default font size are escaping
from his highly-specific pixel boundaries. He also uses the non-existent
HTML tag of <br soft> which is an error, and can be treated by various
browsers however they choose. They may substitute a <br> or they may
ignore it, thus giving you "text overwrite."

You might be able to eliminate the problem by pressing Ctrl-Minus once
or twice. (zoom out)
