I cannot tell you why you have this behavior with SM; it could be from a
Windows upgrade, or a SM upgrade where your mail preferences were not saved.
Look in Preferences Mail and NEWSGROUPS for each mail account under
Copies and Folders to make sure you have the settings you need. The top
option should be Place a copy in: "Sent" folder on (account name)
Once set correctly all your outgoing messages will have a copy placed in
your Sent folder for that mail account. In the mean time look in the
folder "Local Folders" and see if you have some sent messages residing
in there. It seems that the Local Folders is a default storage for all
messages when not explicitly set for each mail account.
