There is bug open (Form History is shared code) to avoid saving credit
card numbers, SSN numbers and other similar numeric sequences.

Why don't people password protect the opening of SeaMonkey?

"password protect" has become an oxymoron :-) there are so many places that one can use a password that it is just crazy - the 'master password' is an attempt in the right direction.

But I do not see how your question relates to filling out forms, unless you think that the only possible penetration of your computer would be by a person sitting there. Data can be stolen by Malware and sometimes by Thumbdrives or just by stealing the whole d--- computer.
