Do you use IMAP or POP for receiving your E-mail?  That is, do you leave
incoming messages on the server, or do you download them?  (A clue:  If
you use POP, then the messages are available even when you have no
Internet connection.  If you use IMAP, you always need an Internet
connection to view even old messages.)

On occasion, I might filter and ignore all newsgroup messages
posted through GoogleGroups via Google's G2/1.0 user agent
because of spam from that source.
