(As a note, meant Beta 2 obviously, as we're still working on Beta 3)

Exactly. I've been against anything like this for a long time but I got
sick of the reports of users running into problems with SeaMonkey just
because we don't send "Firefox" in that User Agent string (and the good
side is that the version of the Mozilla platform in SeaMonkey 2.1
supports doing this with a very simple flag).

You are telling us that "Firefox" is added in the UA string depending
of a flag ? If yes could you inform us about details of how to
set/reset this flag ?
It's even better than a about:config flag!
Quoting from my previous
post:<[email protected]>
When you first install the SM-2.1 (currently b2pre), the Firefox UA
probably is turned-on by-default, but it is easily toggled-off via the
menu:-
Edit > Preferences > Advanced > HTTP-networking > User Agent String >
and uncheck the "Advertise Firefox compatibility" box. No about:config
scenario required.
HTH Barry.

Barry, is this effective "on the fly", ie go to a site, find it doesn't display "right", make the change you detailed above, re-load site and it work?? Or do you have to re-start SM??
