Not unless there is a specific plugin installed which does this. A brand
new, native install (no plugins, yet, even those from a previous
installation) does not install or enable any Windows services.

Thank you. I was trying to find out why seamonkey.exe just sits in windows task
manager and never starts the SM GUI just after I have allowed a "windows update".
The other suspect is a IE trick in the registry.
