MSFT warns of an attack which can effect any browser[1], unless the security options are set properly. Looking at the Seamonkey option, under privacy and security option "Validation" is the option to reject a certificate if it can't be validated. I now have mine on.

Sounds as if this attack is in the wild, if rare, and a good thing to prevent.

taken the first step. The steps are many, but finite in number, and if
we persevere we will reach our destination. -me, 2010
