I see the same problem with Thunderbird 3.1.9. I think SeaMonkey 2.0.x
has its mail-news capabilities based on Thunderbird 3.1.x.

In SeaMonkey 2.0.13, printing selected text FROM A WEB PAGE does work.

The UI for print preview is kinda poor. By coincidence, I have just
opened a RFE bug for another print preview UI weakness: it does not let
you choose printers before previewing.
