Every so often I get the following alert message when accessing
news.eternal-september.org:
====
An error occurred during a connection to news.eternal-september.org:563.
The OCSP server returned unexpected/invalid HTTP data.
(Error code: sec_error_ocsp_bad_http_response)

At first I thought that it might be an eternal-september issue, however
I can resolve the issue by going to 'Edit|Mail& Newsgroups Account
Settings|news.eternal-september.org|Server Settings' and unsetting
SSL/TLS (port 563), click ok. Then reopen 'Edit|Mail& Newsgroups
Account Settings|news.eternal-september.org|Server Settings'& reset it
back to SSL/TLS& the problem goes away (at least until the next random
time it occurs).
Anyone else experienced this?
I use the same newsgroup service as you do, and I have no problem. I
do however have my port set to 119 and Connection Security set to NONE.
You might try it to see if it works for you.
