Seamonkey.exe not a valid Win32 application error message

For reasons that are not at all clear, my wife's WinXP PC suddenly 
displays the error message:

'Seamonkey.exe not a valid Win32 application'
Anybody have any idea what has caused this?  A bit of Microsoft revenge?
