What "code" would you use for a filename space other than %20 ?

First of all, spaces are not permitted in domain names. Secondly, you
can't substitute underscores for spaces in hosted filenames either. They
would be two different files.

Thirdly, don't use real domain names as examples. Your "thisisyoursite"
is owned by a gentleman from Sarasota, Florida, and you've just handed
it to search engines. Maybe he doesn't want that. Use "example.com"
instead.
