I'm currently using Seamonkey 1.1.18 and it seems to work fine with on;y a few exceptions. Using Java 1.2, no problem with Java sites.
That's also an even older version of Java...
The password manager and forms manager, which fill in the relevant fields automatically, work seamlessly.
The password and forms manager work slightly differently these days. The forms manager stores fields individually and suggests values as you type into them, or you can press down arrow to summon the complete list. The login manager still prefills a single login automatically otherwise it uses the same autocomplete system as the forms manager. *The old login manager used to prompt you with a dialog.)
The Preferences bar is extremely useful.
I think there may be a version of this that works with SeaMonkey 2 although I haven't checked.
I use an add-on to be able to view and edit pages in a text editor
I'm not 100% sure what you mean here. I know SeaMonkey has a system to make the view-source command automatically open a text editor although I can't remember whether you need 2.1 to get this built in.
Composer is great for simple HTML touch-ups if I want to download a page.
SeaMonkey 2 still includes Composer. -- Warning: May contain traces of nuts. _______________________________________________ support-seamonkey mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
