Not exactly true. FF4 and SM 2.1 use the same file format for bookmarks (places.sqlite). The same file exists for SM 2.0, too, but only contains the browsing history there. SM 2.0 uses bookmarks.html for bookmarks, which can be imported into both SM 2.1 and FF4 (from the Bookmarks Manager / Library).
