Well, I'm currently downloading the en-US build and will install the
German package on top. Hope that works as intended.

I know it's probably not the fine reply you are waiting for, but in a
similar circumstance I found that installing the British locale (on a
french localised build) made me able to explain some details about some
preferences with an English language point of view.
