Printing from rv1.9-up on Linux @more than 96 DPI has been dismal. Everything
is inflated, and form controls more so. It's absolutely nuts how incompetent it
is, though less bad if a print-specific stylesheet sizing in pt is used by the
page to be printed, which is hardly a universal feature of typical web sites.

On eCS, ever since replacing my LJ4 with a Canon MF4370dn and dropping SM
1.1.19 for 2.1, I haven't much thought about figuring out to print from OS/2
again. Canon doesn't support US Linux users, even though the box mine came in
expressly says it does. I have to goto its UK web site for drivers, which (v2.2
or prior) don't work in any latest Linux versions at all (e.g. Fedora 15,
openSUSE 11.4), apparently incompatible with some recent CUPS changes. Luckily
I'm still in openSUSE 11.2 on this machine, where the latest proprietary driver
does work.
