I have set up my email account in seamonkey, I can receive from all of
them with no problems. But when I try to send from any of the
accounts, even though I change the pull down menu to the account I
WANT to use, when the email arrives to the person I sent it to, it is
always from the DEFAULT account. How do I fix this?
Add more than one Outgoing Server.
Shouldn't be relevant to this issue. The sending account's settings will
govern which SMTP server is used, but the OP is saying he selects one
sending account and a different sending account is used.
Nick, are you saying the recipient sees the wrong "From:" entry, or are
you saying he sees the wrong sig?
In the first case, go into Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings for each
account and make sure the settings are right not just for the name of
the account, but also for the username, email address, etc. For example,
if your home account is "Nicholas Revitzer" <[email protected]>
and your work account is "Nicholas Revitzer" <[email protected]>,
this should be visible in your settings. Or maybe there's a bug in v. 2.2?
In the second case, the fix is easy: go into Mail & Newsgroups Account
Settings for each account and make sure it points to the right sig file.
If they all point to the same sig file, they'll all be signed the same way.
One other point of clarification -- are we talking about several
identities within one account, or several different accounts?
