I just installed 2.2 or SeaMonkey, and the center mounse button on a Thinkpad no longer scrolls.
I have no experience with this, but sounds like an issue that is "Core", can you try a Firefox 5 briefly and see if it works for you there?
Plus, right clicking the tab bar no longer opens a new tab.
If you mean there is no longer a context-menu for "Open new tab" when right clicking in the blank area of the tab-bar, this was intended. Workarounds include ctrl+t, right-click on any open tab, the new-tab button at the far left of the bar, (among other choices)
Both of these are going to force me to use something else until they are fixed. Both were fine in 2.1
The tab-bar issue is relatively minor, and is just a matter of muscle memory, so hopefully you can figure out a solution.
The thinkpad issue I'd love to try and figure out with you, which is why I asked about Firefox 5.
