Sun, 24 Jul 2011 02:03:08 -0500, /cmcadams/:
I set Seamonkey 2.2 to record 3 days of my browsing history, when it
was installed. Tonight I notice that there there is now an
accumulated 10 days of stored history. The setting remains at 3. I
looked through about:config, but nothing suggested itself as an
explanation. What am I missing, please?
As far as I'm aware, this preference is no longer relevant starting
with Firefox 4/Gecko 2/SeaMonkey 2.1:

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/Projects/Places_async_expiration
I don't think the old behavior could be restored for SeaMonkey, so I
guess this just needs to be removed from the UI.
Here's relevant SeaMonkey Bugzilla entry:
Bug 536374 - Places history changes due to async expiration. (Port
bug 520165.) <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=536374>
And it appears listed on:
