Wed, 27 Jul 2011 14:41:54 -0700, /David E. Ross/:

According to the Add-ons Manager, I have two themes installed for
SeaMonkey 2.2: SeaMonkey Default Theme 2.2 and SeaMonkey Modern Theme
2.2.

Somehow, I have lost the Enable and Disable buttons for these.
Currently, SeaMonkey Modern Theme 2.2 is active; but I prefer SeaMonkey
Default Theme 2.2.

When I go to the SeaMonkey menu bar and select [View> Apply Theme>
SeaMonkey Default Theme], nothing happens. I don't even get a popup
dialogue saying that a restart is needed and asking if I want to restart
now. In any case, restarting SeaMonkey does not help.

In Safe Mode, I still have the same problem. However, I then get the
popup dialogue that I mention in the paragraph above. Selecting Restart
Now does restart SeaMonkey, but the theme does not change.

Note that I have four profiles. This is a problem only with the profile
I use the most. That profile contains some 14 extensions that I really
do not want to reinstall, so I am hoping for a solution that does not
involve replacing the profile with an all-new profile.

Try deleting once the extensions.* files in your profile directory (you may have to re-disable the extensions you have currently disabled, if any). How many entries (both files and directories) you see into the extensions/ sub-directory of your profile directory? See if you have theme entries like:

As far as I see these shouldn't appear in your profile.
