Are you starting SeaMonkey from a desktop icon or from an icon in the
list from the Start button on your taskbar?
In either case, place your cursor over the icon and right-click. From
the pull-down context menu, select Properties. On the Properties
window, select the Shortcut tab. In the Target area, make sure the end
of the path to seamonkey.exe does not show " -safe-mode".
Many thanks. That did it. 2.2 was installed automagically and that's
when "safe-mode" was added. Don't know why but is gone now.
