Saemonkey 2.2 Windows 2000 (SP4)
When I compose an email and want to paste a part of another email as
quoted text,I use 'Paste as quotation' from the right-click menu.
I see the quoted text, the cursor is at the end of the last pasted
character.
When I *press enter* to type the rest of the email, the quoted text
instantly disappears.
Sometimes I can move the cursor with the arrrow-down key to a position
below the last quoted sentence and I'm able to type the rest of the
massage.
Paste (normal) works correct as does
Paste Without Formatting, no problem.
Is this a bug ?
regards,
Zanqeutil.
Zanqeutil, when you paste the text into the e-mail, is it still
highlighted, so the when you press "Enter" the still highlighted text is
replaced by a carriage return??
No, the text is not highlighted when I press 'enter'(carriage return)
For example:
When you highlight a sentence in MS Word and press enter (carriage
return) the highligted text will be deleted. That's how it works in MS Word.
SM 2.2
Sometimes when I try a (normal) paste and after that a second 'paste as
quotation' I'm able to move the blinking cursor below the pasted text
with the arrow-down key. The pasted text (with quotation marks) stays
put and I can type new sentences.
I did not have this problem in Seamonkey 2.1, I noticed this after the
update to SM 2.2.

Zanqeutil
