Hello all, my next question concerns about open pages in profiles.
In my previous version, 2.1x, I was able to switch between profiles
and pages would remain open (i.e. no password needed and the landing
page would be ready to use).
Do you really mean 2.1x or something like 2.0.1x (2.0.14)? I don't
any remember 2.1.x versions released - just 2.1 (and then 2.2).
With the upgrade to 2.3.3, each time I switch between profiles, I
must re-enter passwords to pages I use frequently. This does not
cause any security hazards on these pages, as such this was
immensely convenient for me and working... that is the reason I
enjoyed this convenience of the previous version.
Is there a way I can do this in the up-grade? WinXP is the os.
I suspect it is caused by the same issue I've pointed in your other
thread "Bookmarks and Upgrade... to 2.3.3" - see
<http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/seamonkey2.3/#issues> the
first bullet "Data loss warning". If you've switched (and worse -
continue to switch) back to using SM 2.0 with the same profile,
every time you return to SM 2.1+ next, you're loosing your history
(incl. cookies) which effectively causes you to reenter passwords on
sites.
