I think SeaMonkey is great for people that want an all in one product
rather than separate Firefox browser and Thunderbird email/messaging
services.
To each their own and having SeaMonkey allows people to have a choice of
products and isn't that what open source all about?

Thank you *THANK YOU*
You gave me a much needed chuckle when Murphy and his law was top dawg ;/ [So what if you did not intend to ;)!

More seriously:
In the proprietary vs free camps there are two ignored *FACTS* ! !!
  1. both "free" and "non-free" are *ESSENTIAL*
  2. both suffer from "Daddy (ie author) KNOWS BEST"
(usually attributed to M$ but a linux distro fights for 1st ;(

I use SeaMonkey as it on whole seems to do things the "right" way.
Thunderbird/Firefox drives me up the wall in some ways.
__*HOWEVER*__ I think I can come up with as many reasons as they that they made the *correct* decision(s). LOOK, they are aiming for a target audience3 that does_not_ include me :)

Thank you for allowing me to rant ./
