I have a computer with Windows XP (this one), and another (laptop) with
Windows 7. Both have SeaMonkey version 2.4.1 installed. Since I use
the XP computer more, I had more bookmarks saved on it and wanted to
update the Win 7 computer with the updated Bookmark.html file. I copied
the file from my XP computer and pasted it in the profile of the laptop.
When I opened SeaMonkey on the laptop computer, the bookmarks were not
the same. I went back and tried it again, same result. So I then tried
using the Export/Import method to see if that made a difference. It did
not.
The file size of Bookmarks.html appears to be identical, yet the
bookmarks do not appear to be the same when I open up the Manage
Bookmarks in SeaMonkey. What am I overlooking?? Is there another file
besides Bookmarks.html controlling the bookmarks? Thanks.
Finally I would like to say I have had very few if any problems with the
updated versions of SeaMonkey. That is not to say others don't have
problems, just I did not.
