I want to be able to coordinate my mail, bookmarks, addresses.
Of the three, Sync only handles bookmarks right now.
So my question is if I use Sync, will the end product reflect the data from my most heavily used pc, or will it somehow use the data from the less heavily used pcs?
By default, Sync merges the data of all clients that use the same Sync account. However, for each client that you newly add you can choose to alternatively replace all data on the server with those of the client, or all client data with the server data (where data means the subset that is supported by Sync and selected for syncing).
In other words, will sync allow me to select which profile to use on all pcs, or do I have to copy my favorite profile to each pc before signing up for sync.
Sync is configured from within a running SeaMonkey (and thus attached to the profile that is active then). During Sync setup, this profile is then connected to a Sync account. This account can be shared across multiple profiles and clients (computers, mobile devices etc.).
So if you have a favorite profile you'd start setting up Sync with that one and then set up Sync on all others that should share the same Sync environment (= account).
A further complication. In looking around, I found that I have multiple profiles on my primary pc. How do I find which is the one I am currently using?
