Useta be, when I deleted a mail folder, it would be moved to Trash, and

folder, it's gone instantly, no chance of recovery.

Is there an option I can set to return to the old way, or do I just have
to be perfect?

Did you set your Trash folder's Properties to 'delete after' a certain
time period?

Not especially. When I right-click and choose Properties, everything's grayed out because the box "Use my account settings" is checked. The only thing I see there is "Empty trash on exit," which is enabled.

(It's still there until you compact the Trash folder; you just can't see
it unless you edit the raw file - not for the inexperienced.)

So you're saying there /has/ been a change.
