I just installed SeaMonkey 2.4.1(german) with some extensions on a complete new
Laptop with Windows7. After a short while I couldn't click on a link or enter
any letters within the address line. Nothing happend at all. The curson didn't
blink anymore etc. I started some other programms (e.g. OpenOffice Writer), they
all worked normally. Curious.
I tried it several times always the same result, SeaMonkey didn't accept any
input. I've never seen such a behaviour unless it was something with the input
drivers yet all other programms work absolute normal only SeaMonkey doesn't.
I deinstalled it hoping all extensions were removed as well and installed it
again, yet I still couldn't use it, I couldn't enter any address. Unbelievable.
I deinstalled it once more and installed SeaMonkey (US english) but there was
the same effects, simply not usable.
Okay I tried something else, I downloaded Firefox and tried it, hei it worked as
normal as any other programm.
So what now, why doesn't SeaMonkey work on this computer (I've no problems on
others)? And what can I do to fix the problem? Does the unistalling really
remove anything or are there any left overs?
