I agree that the bad link is created by outlook 11, but what can we do
in SM to accept those link ? Perhaps when we do a click on it, SM will
tell us with a pop-up massage saying "This url is blocked by the
initiator - would you continue and reach the site ? "YES" - "NO""
Why do you think SeaMonkey should follow an invalid link? Actually it is
doing what was intended by the security feature that created the link by
not following it. Even Outlook itself will not follow those links (see
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/email/links-are-prefixed-with-blocked/
). When you mouse over the link it shows the full url including the
blocked:blocked in the status line which should be enough to indicate
why it is not following it. Probably what it should actually do is not
even highlight it as a link the way Google Groups does. If you look at
this thread in Google Groups in either SeaMonkey or IE you will see that
the invalid link in Paul Gallagher's HTML post is not even displayed as
a link.
In any case if it's a problem and not a feature it's Outlooks problem
and not SeaMonkeys.
Thanks for the info/link you gave me. It appear that Outlook create
those bad link when the sender do a copy/paste of a correct link of a
mail to the new mail he wrote. The info/link explain what outlook users
should do to permit the open of this bad link. This info did not give us
a way in outlook to avoid this inclusion - So *no* cure by acting on
Outlook .... Therefore the problem is closed. My friend cannot send ma a
correct link, and i cannot open it.
Sure you can open it: View|Message Body As|Plain Text
click the link.
A very good idea - Thanks !
