My bloviated meandering follows what Sailfish graced us with on 12/22/2011 12:50 PM:
When I click on notification icons on Facebook's top navigation bar, it doesn't display the drop-down list in SM2.6 but works fine in Firefox 9.0. Similarly, selecting the Home drop down icon displays the list but is almost impossible to select the "Loggoff" item.

Anyone else noticing this problem?

I just re-installed SM2.5 and confirmed that it works well with FB, too. So, this seems to be a SM2.6-only issue.

I've found what changed from SM2.5 to SM2.6 to cause this problem. I had added the following entry to my prefs.js file a few years back to close a security hole:

user_pref("capability.policy.default.Window.onunload", "noAccess");

More: http://www.esecurityplanet.com/trends/article.php/1463911/Mozilla-Flaw-Springs-Privacy-Leak.htm

It's not clear why Facebook would be invoking the window "onunload" handler when clicking its navigation icons nor why this pref override worked fine prior to SM2.6 but once I removed this entry, the problem went away. Any insights about the circumstances for this would be appreciated.

Anyway, I'm adding this update in the event that others may find it useful.
