I was still holding on to 2.0.14 until a few days ago. I was kinda
fearful of what 2.6.1 would bring. Well, I finally took the plunge and
am very pleased. The upgrade was seamless on all 4 of my PC's -
everything transfered fine, including my addons. The only thing I needed
to get used to was the new way of handling bookmarks. Everything else
looks pretty much the same. This version is faster, and I'm sure much
more secure.
So for any of you who are still hesitant to upgrade, go right ahead. I'm
sure you'll be pleased. Nice work, SeaMonkey team!
Hi,
Thanks for the headsup on your upgrade.
1) Did you go directly from 2.0.14 to 2.6.1?
2) Please tell us what the bookmark problem is, because when I upgraded
to 2.4 a while ago, all my bookmarks were screwed up.
Thank you again.

Yes, directly from 2.0.14 to 2.6.1. Not really a problem with bookmarks,
I just like the old way of organizing them better. They are now in the
places.sqlite file instead of an html file. But you can have it
automatically update an html file on exit of SeaMonkey if you want to.
You can't pick a default folder to put new bookmarks in, like you could
before, but you can use the Unsorted Bookmarks Folder if you do it a
certain way. I didn't lose any bookmarks during the upgrade.
