Greetings, sometimes a mail Filter for Cc catches mails which not even have a Cc: in the header. This is dangerous if the action of the filter is delete. Once such a mail is caught, the effect of the filter is reproducible by copying the mail from Trash to a folder and running the filter there.
Bug? Perhaps. It depends on a test, if others are affected also or if this a Hartmut only incidence. Therefore i would like if someone checks the test case on http://www.triffids.de/pub/sm/filter/ before i file a bug on Bugzilla. Create a filter like filter.png on a mail account. Close SM. Copy the file filter-test to the directory which contains the Inbox of the mail account. Start SM. Then 'Tools->Message Filters', select the filter wine-devel-cc, then 'Run selected filter(s) on filter-test', then 'Run Now'. On my machine the mail from Bugzilla. which is in filter-test, will be deleted. Reproducible. This goes for my SM 2.9a1 and also for a 2.6.1.
