What is the point/purpose of this non-removable folder?

If you bookmark a page by simply clicking on the little icon on the
right end of the address bar (analogous to the "star" icon on Firefox),
it goes to this folder. (Icon changes appearance slightly to indicate
URL is bookmarked)

If you click on the icon a second time (that is, if you click on it for
a URL which is *already bookmarked*) you get a little window that allows
you to either delete or move the bookmark to another folder.

To make it short: the purpose of the folder is to allow one-click
bookmarking.

Ok. I was also thinking that if I just selected "Bookmark This Page" from the Menu option it would end up there to...but it doesn't. It behaves as previous and ends up in the main Bookmarks Menu.

Don't know if I can think of a need or use for the click option as it is right now...might be nice if the Menu option and the click option did the same thing, at least. I'm going to drag-file them anyway...only now I'll have to open a folder to get to them if I click-mark.

Can I disable this option?
