I have been having a problem with replying to emails, in regard to font

Any fixes I can make or is it just the program?

Presumably you're replying in HTML.

I have a similar difficulty because I prefer a font size one step larger than the default. It happens in a new composition window, too.

All's I can suggest is that you avoid moving the cursor forward to an area whose font you haven't explicitly marked as larger. Or you could select and mark an area longer than you will need and place the cursor in the middle of that.

When creating a new paragraph, use the Enter key to create a new one, don't move the cursor down to an existing (small) one.

Also, if you copy/paste a bit of text, it seems to carry with it a </font> tag at the end, so whatever you type immediately after a paste reverts back to the default font.
