Addendum:

Jonathan, if you manage to figure out an easy way to CHANGE the priority
flag of a RECEIVED message, that would be FANTASTICALLY USEFUL! For me,
it would mean that I don't have to rely on the judgment of *other
people* to tell me my priorities. This would actually make those flags
USEFUL to me again -- sort of like an improved version of the "flag for
later" (Gmail's "star") flag, with two positive and two negative levels,
instead of just a binary state.

But, I realize that this would be way more complicated than just an UI
change. So I don't hold much hope for this RFE...
