Not the home page; probably he has SM set up to check email as soon as
it opens, and THAT requires the password. My Portable Seamonkey, which I
use when out of the office, is also set up that way (only IMAP accounts,
so as to avoid messing up the message downloading...). Oh, and by the
way, it asks for the password on opening, and never again...
Yes - it should only ask for it the once, and that's what happens if I
enter it. What really sucks is that if SM requests my Master during a
download or other activity in progress SM freezes and I have to Force
Quit and loose the session.
I'm not set up to auto-check e-mail, or have Mail/news open on launch,
my ISP doesn't require a password for usenet access or use of my
outgoing SMTP server, nor does my Home Page require a password. So I
shouldn't be getting a request for my Master unless I navigate to a page
which requires a password or open Mail/News and select Get Mail and it
is needed for the "first time" per my Preference setting.
...and yet...there it is again.
