Most SeaMonkey newsgroup subscribers are presumably using the latest version, which is why most posts in here are in regards to the latest version. For instance, if you read posts in this newsgroup from April 28, 2011 to June 10, 2011 (the time period when 2.0.14 was the latest version), you;ll find that most posts are in regards to 2.0.14.
Plus 2.0.14 as known public security vulnerabilities, which is why it is not recommended.
Don't forget that the users who don't have problems have no reason to post; so if I were you, I wouldn't worry about updating. Especially considering you have people in here to help you if you have any issues.
