What the heck were you storing *need* emails in your trash folder for?? Trash is *meant* to be thrown out, and it's possible this *may* have happened to you, however...........

When you put an email in Trash, it is not really deleted, it is meerly marked for removal. To possibly recover your needed email, have a look at Edit->Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings and select Server Settings for your email account. Have a look at the "Local directory" location.

Now close the preferences screen, completely close SeaMonkey, open a simple word processor like Notepad or Wordpad, and open the Inbox folder at the "Local directory" location and look through it to find the e-mail that you are interested in and then Copy and Paste it and it's attachment into another word processor screen.
