Look in two places:
1) Edit | Preferences | Browser | Internet Search
If you don't see your preferred search engine next to "Search using,"
then click "Manage Search Engines..." and see if it's in the list there.
If it is, make it the default. If not, click "Get more search engines"
and add it.
2) Assuming all is now well at the option above, go to Edit |
Preferences | Browser | Location Bar and enable (check) the box "Show
default search engine." You may also wish to enable "Perform a web
search when entered text is not a web location."
OK out and you should be good to go.
