Hi all !
Normally when i select a mail in the subjects list upper right pane...
It is selected(blue background) and the mail is viewed in the preview
lower rigth pane.... instantaneously.
BUT when the mail contains a .gpx file (a gps trace - only 114KB file
length) it take 6 seconds.
A pure text file.
Could someone tell me why a so long delay ?
Regards,
Ray.
As i can see nobody believe me ..... or don't care about the slow speed
of SM ....
I cannot duplicate this and it IS important to be able to reproduce in
order to answer right away. Have you emptied trash and compacted
folders. That would be a start anyways. Do you have an AV application
that is scanning your incoming mail and attachments?
Thanks for replying.
I have done some testing:
I emptied my trash.
I compacted my sent folder and my inbox folder.
I have an AV, but i told him to not check inside mails.
I have seen that when the .gpx trace is with idented items followed by a
"newline" perline, i did not experience the delay.
But when the .gpx file is composed of only one chunk of characters
without identation and without newlines, the 6 seconds delay occur.
Did you have an explanation ? Or may be i can forward you the offending
mail ?
Regards,
Ray.
