I have several other browsers for Windows 7... only Seamonkey kills Youtube.
Have you addressed this? It sucks, because Seamonkey has been my favorite
browser, but it just won't play flash movies without stalling :(
I ran into this several years back. Some Googling revealed that SM and Firefox
are
(or were) set by default to save their states to disk every few seconds, which
can
interfere with other things. I went into about:config and modified
browser.sessionstore.interval from 5000 (milliseconds) to 300000 to keep it out
of my
way. Which improved youtube play in my case. YMMV.
You can reset to the default as a right-click menu choice, if it turns out that
wasn't the problem.
Where is the preference variable browser.sessionstore.interval
documented? It's not in "About:config entries" at
<http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config_entries>.
Thought someone might ask, so I bookmarked:
http://www.ghacks.net/2008/07/09/change-the-session-store-interval-in-firefox/
And others. But this one tells how it works. I know it doesn't mention SeaMonkey, but
it worked.
