Thanks for your reply. I seem to have solved my problem. See my reply
to Jaime in this tread. Now that I have some of my wits about me (as
well as my original setup), I have found your reply to Rob Steinmetz on
7/16/12 which seems pertinent to my problems of the past two days. I
have printed it and filed it in my computer panic file.
Any ideas about what could cause corruption of the profiles.ini file?
I'm at the point in life where if it hurts, don't do that anymore.
