I just updated to the latest Flash plugin and it is still causing the

Do you have Real player installed? That is known to cause the Flash
focus problem.

I have no Real Player installed. The issue is that the Flash player
plugin causes sudden switches from the mail/news window to the browser
window with not warning nor sense. You can be sitting there reading an
emai/news and suddenly you're switched to the browser window. Disable
the Flash plugin and the problem goes away. I could reference previous
threads about this in Google groups, I suppose, but that notion is so
distasteful I must apologize and not do it. But, we have had previous
talks about this.

And I will say this: The programmers at Adobe need to get their heads out of their butts. This is just silly.

BTW, it doesn't matter if the browser window has gone to a Flash URL or not.

Horribly annoying.

the Flash player plugin is simply stealing focus to the browser window regardless of whether there is any Flash access or not.

So, great, to solve the issue I disable the Flash plugin. Now I can't see any Youtube videos. Not an answer.
