Windows XP SP3
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 SeaMonkey/2.14

I am not seeing that problem. However, I have set
signon.startup.prompt
to false.

Mac version, using the SM Modern Theme.

Have YOU tried setting signon.startup.prompt to false?

No, because that's not the issue I'm dealing with and it's not a problem
in 2.13.2 - particularly when it comes to the short rendered drop-down
problem.

What I am considering is to stop using the Profile Manager. The SM team
has identified that as a contributor to the OS X interface issues I've
bugged.

...but OTOH, I just re-installed 2.14 and checked, and signon.startup.prompt is set false by default for us Mac users, it seems.

Now back to 2.13.2...
