I hear your arguments, I recognise their merit, but I also continue to disagree. That said, this is not the correct forum within which to debate such issues, so I will say no more on this subject (except, perhaps, that bringing back elements that were quite correctly deprecated in HTML 4.01 is more about pragmatism that it is about semantic markup, and is, to my mind, a clear indication of the driving forces that lie behind HTML 5).
